MEMBER LEGION ORCHESTRA WILL BE THEIR GUEST
A.C. Powers and Miss Vernie Schember of this city, were united in marriage at Havana last Monday although this fact did not become generally known among their friends until this morning.
The groom is an auto mechanic and the bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P.G. Schember. She is a talented musician and was the piano player for the American Legion orchestra. The members of the orchestra will be entertained this evening by the newlyweds at their home on South Capitol street.

Albert Winkle, director of the Illinois Ramblers orchestra, well known in musical and entertainment circles, and Verna Powers were united in marriage Sunday by Rev. A.A. Zimmerman if St. Paul's Evangical church and departed after the ceremony on a wedding trip to Chicago. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Schember and is an estimable young woman. Mr. Winkle is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Winkle, 316 Mary Street. They have the congratulations and best wishes of many friends.
