Josiah married Margaret Wardner, daughter of Phillip Wardner and Catharine Eidel, on November 25, 1773 in Alstead, New Hampshire. (Margaret Wardner was born in May 1758-1759 in Natick, Massachusetts, Massachusetts, baptized on June 4, 1758-1759 and died in 1856.)
