Bradford - Everett Hanchett, 77, of 118 South St., died Wednesday evening, Oct 3, 1990 at Kewanee Public Hospital.
Born January 14, 1913, to Frank and Arlene (Manning) Hanchett, he married Dorothy Oberg on September 3, 1939, in Clinton, Iowa.
Also surviving are one son, Richard of Peoria; two daughters, Jeanette Alltop of Tower, Minn., and Marian Ericson of Livonia, Mich.; 11 grandchildren; one great granddaughter; one brother, Jerry of Kewanee; and three sisters, Gladys McKeever of Kewanee, Lucille Tucker of East Moline and Geraldine Peterson of New Windsor. He was preceded in death by two brothers.
He was a farmer near Bradford for many years and was a professional painter in the Bradford area. He was a member of Bradford First Baptist Chruch, Bradford Masonic Lodge 514, AF&AM, Scottish Rite Bodies, Valley of Peoria and Mohammed Temple Shrine in Peoria. He also was a member and past worthy patron of the Bradford Order of the Eastern Star 352.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Johnson-Dunlap Funeral Home in Bradford. The Rev. Lauren Gerber will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mound Cemetery at Boyd's Grove.
Memorials may be made to his church or the Bradford Rescue Mission.
