Vernon Kitterman
Green Valley-Vernon R. Kitterman, 69, of 116 S. Maple St., died at 6:05 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, 1990 at St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Woosley Funeral Home in Delavan. The Rev. Daryl Fansler will officiate. Burial will be in Green Valley Cemetery where military rites will be concluded by the American Legion.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Building Fund of the First United Methodist Church in Green Valley.
He was born January 17, 1921 in Pekin, to Roscoe and Alma Dieckman Kitterman. He married Helen Pfeiffer on March 15, 1946 in Green Valley.
Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Mrs Dale (Juanita) Scheder of Green Valley; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was a guard at American Destillery in Pekin for 38 years until it closed in 1980.
He was a World War 11 Army veteran and a member of the American Legion Post in Delavan, the Pekin Amvets, and the Pekin Disabled American Veterans.
