Marriage:William was named after his father William. He married Mary Grimes Jan.1, 1835. After his marriage, he located on a farm in Weller Twp., Richland County and remained there all his life. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church. Ref: History of Richland County by Albert A. Graham.
Land: William at his father's death purchased the other heirs interest in his father's farm. This he farmed until his death. William was known as Esquire Foulks having served many years as a justice of peace. He also served as a township trustee. Ref: Centennial Biographical History by A. J. Baughman, p.641.
