Glenn Manning of this place and Miss Lorene Brazee of Wyoming were married in Peoria last Friday, the ceremony coming as a surprise to the friends of the groom here. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Brazee of Wyoming, and is said to be a very pleasant and accomplished young lady. Her husband is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Manning and is conducting the harness and shoe shop with his father. Glenn is a steady and energetic young man of fine traits. They will make their home with the groom's parents for a while atleast. Their friends offer congratulations. __________

GLENN MANNINGS OBSERVE FORTY NINTH ANNIVERSARY
Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Manning of Bradford were the honored guest at a dinner party held at Club Lacon, Lacon, Sunday, with children, eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren hosting the affair, in observance of their 49th wedding anniversary. The former Laurine Brazee and Glenn Manning were united in marriage on March 24, 1922. The couple have five children, Mrs. Evelyn Foockle of Sheffield, Mrs. Harold (Aileen) Stotler, Wyoming, Duane, at home, Mrs. Robert (Audrey) Hart, Peoria and Mrs. Bernie (Beverly) Labedis of Kewanee. There are eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Celebrating the occasion with Mr. and Mrs. Manning were Mrs. Evelyn Foockle, and daughter Jackie of Sheffield, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Stotler of Wyoming, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hart, Larry and Mike and Mr. and Mrs. Mike Baldwin and children of Peoria and Mr. and Mrs. Bernie Labedis and children of Kewanee. __________

TO NOTE ANNIVERSARY--Mr. and Mrs. Glen Manning will observe their 50th wedding anniversary this week. The former Laurine Brazee and Glenn Manning were married on March 24, 1922 in Peoria. The five children, 11 grandchildren and great-grandchildren are planning a dinner on March 26, in Lacon. __________

Bradford - Glenn Jasper Manning, 81, a retired farmer of the Bradford area, died at 7:05 a.m. yesterday at Kewanee Public Hospital, where he had been a patient for one week.
He was born on July 27, 1893 in Bradford, a son of Frank and Viola Kitterman Manning. He married Laurine Brazee March 24, 1922 in Peoria. She survives. Also surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Foockle of Sheffield, Mrs. Harold (aileen) Stotler of Wyoming, Mrs. Robert (Audrey) Hart of Peoria, Mrs. Bernard (Beverly) Labedis of Kewanee; one son, Duane Manning, at home; 11 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Arlene Hanchett of Kewanee, and one brother, Paul Manning of Chillicothe.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters, and one son. Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Dunlap Funeral Home in Bradford. The Rev. Frank Rider Officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memory Gardens, Kewanee.
Visitation will be tomorrow from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Manning was a member of the United Memorial Methodist Church, and a 53 year member of the Bradford Masonic Lodge.
